Mondays Are For...

My voting is finished. It was nice to see a long line on the opening of early voting here. I admittedly hope that people chose to give Paxton, Abbott, etc the boot. I would really like Texas to flip. That would make my day in so many ways.

The beginning of my walk was amazing. Temps in the forties and a nice breeze. Alas, once voting and standing in line, my body wasn't happy. Movement = good. Standing in one place = bad. There were many persons there with canes and walkers. The crowd was older, but pleasantly diverse. I'd really like all of Texas to give a big FU to MAGA. Alas, there is far too much MAGA here for that to happen.

The walk back was less pleasant. I imagine tomorrow is not going to feel good. That's ok. It will improve.

I did stop in a store for a moment. My normal walking attire when weather permitting is leggings and a t-shirt. It was in the high forties, so that feels good to me. I wore one of my witch cat t-shirts because they make me smile and the print colors are befitting the season. It says “witchy” at the base of the print.

When I checked out, my total came to $6.66. The woman looked at my shirt, then up at my face, then turned the register screen so that I could see the number. She wouldn't say it aloud. She's always been nice, so I made a theatric ghost sound, stated, “Spooooooky!”, paid, and wished her a most magical week.

It's easy for me to forget how much such things bother many people. I wonder if there will ever come a time when it won't. I'm very tempted to make a salad joke here. It's unfortunate I don't eat vegetables 99% of the time. Had I a bag of Caesar in hand, I could have had so much fun.

Also adding music because this song popped into my head.
